hApPy MoTheRs DaY!!!

This is my mom, grandma shauna (on the right) and my aunt sharon to the left. Hopefully we'll be able to take a trip to Blanding before this baby to see grandma debbie!
Colter's "pop up" mother's day card. Look how cute he was!!

This is the Mother's Day card I made for my mom and Jesse's mom. On the other side is where we each wrote our notes.

Chocolate covered strawberries! The strawberries were funny sizes, but they still turned out pretty. These were for Grandma Donna and Sharon... even though they're both doing the biggest loser right now.

I tried something different this time, and it turned out really yummy. I added orange extract to the white chocolate on some of the strawberries-it was SO good! I'm not sure how to add the extract without making the chocolate chunk up a little bit, so if anyone knows how to do that, let me know!

These cupcakes are the best! Everyone loves them. If you want an easy recipe, that's different for summer, try these. They're pink lemonade.

1 package white cake mix (not the pudding kind)
3 egg whites
1 cup water
1/3 cup plus 1/4 cup frozen pink lemonade, thawed, divided
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
5 to 8 drops red food coloring
4 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
Lemon slice candies

preheat to 350
Beat cake mix, egg whites, water 1/3 cup concentrate, oil and 4 to 6 drops food coloring.
Spoon into cupcake cups.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes of until toothpick comes out clean. Cool for five minutes, remove and let finish cooling.
Beat powdered sugar, butter and remaining 1/4 cup concentrate in medium bowl with elcrtic mizer at medium speed. Beat in remaining food coloring.
Spread frosting over cupcakes. Garnish with candies and straws (that makes it way cute) if desired.

And since I love cupcakes, I wanted to try this recipe with limeade concentrate, too. Mostly everyone's favorites were the pink lemonade ones, but these ones still got eaten up, too.
