tWiLighT pArtaY!

Friday night at midnight, we were where anyone who's anyone was. Barnes N Nobles! It was the release of Stephanie Meyer's new and last book in the Twilight series, so we had to be some of the first to get it. Jess says that it's pretty much inevitable that the next step in this slippery slope of dorkiness is me playing wizards and dragons in the park. ..I guess that'll just have to be another post!

The first step in the whole process was calling in Barnes N Nobles and putting your name on a list. Then, on Friday morning you could pick up your wristband. So this was the line that determines how soon after midnight you actually get your book. They started giving wristbands at nine, and we got there at eight. We were still 300th in line. They told us that night that the line ended up being around 1200+. Here's cute Mori, Paris and Dax.

Here's what the crowds looked like:

They went clear down the front of the strip mall

At the VERY END of this picture is the Barnes N Nobles. You can see the tip of Paris's stroller on the far left. The picture above is the crowd that was behind us.

So then we return that night and it was packed with some serious characters!!

Because the main characters are getting married in the book, the theme of the party was a wedding. There were prizes for the worst bridesmaid dresses and the best. So you can only imagine some of the dresses. Or people were dressed up like vampires. I did feel like I may be teetering on the verge of being a full-fledged dungeons and dragons member.

The poor guy in the picture above was in front of us in line while we were discussing what kinds of guys would come to something like this? We said some other things before we realized he was listening! To make him feel better, Paris though a picture with him would make his day. But he was there alone! Weird?
Paris was very passionately telling Mori the Twilight story, since Mori has never read the books (she was getting it for her sister) while we were at dinner at Johnny Carino's

It's very possible that our waiter thought we were drunk.

Me and Brooke

We had so much fun! And I'm guessing by this point, Paris has already read the whole book.
